You ll see a sign for the town of crystal follow the left most trail. What it s like to drive alongside the crystal river from marble colorado to crystal mill and the ghost town of crystal in the beautiful maroon bells. Crystal city road 314 is a 9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near carbondale colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. Alltrails will give you good gps directions.

It is a straight up incline for the first two miles. The crystal mill or the old mill is an 1892 wooden powerhouse located on an outcrop above the crystal river in crystal colorado united states. We decided to hike up to crystal mill from the park point in marble just past beaver lake. Once you reach the sign that tells you four miles to crystal town you will have a very rocky trail with more inclines.

The trail is primarily used for hiking and ohv off road driving and is best used from june until october. The crystal mill is located 6 miles east of marble just before the ghost town of crystal. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. It is accessible from marble colorado via 4x4.

It is reachable only in the summer and fall months by a rough one lane 4 wheel drive road.
