Maytag Neptune Washer Door Lock

When using one of these cycles the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed. Be very careful hacking that door. My maytag neptune washer door will not open. If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power.

I am not sure if it is the exact same washer but we had a neptune and if the wax motor overloaded it blew the main board. After the second repair i researched it and had an inline fuse put in the wiring to protect the board if the motor that locks the door overloads. It is locked shut with a load of clothes in it. Door locked at the end of the cycle.
